First position held: Joe started with the company in the fall of 1989 as an Alignment Technician with 15 years of experience in automotive, light truck and heavy truck wheel alignment and tire shaving. He was quickly promoted to Automotive Service Manager which he held for 5 years.
Formal training: From years 1994 to 1998 Joe earned the BF Goodrich Top Achiever Award in training Program and attended four sales training courses at the Michelin Training Center in Greenville, NC. In 1995 Joe was promoted to Store Manager of the first retail satellite store location and five years later was transferred to the wholesale tire sales department. In 2004, he took over Retail Internet Sales and in 2005 became a sponsor of Spec Miata.com where he has earned a reputation of quality service and a can-do attitude.

Joe has a wide range of racing experience:
In 1997 he started to participate in autocross events with a 1983 VW GTI. He then moved on to participate in SCCA Hillclimb and time trials in 1999 when he installed a roll cage on his VW. In 2003 and 2004 he attended Skip Barber Driving School at Lime Rock earning him an official Skip Barber racing license.
In 2006, Joe completed the Panoz Driving School at Road Atlanta, instructed by Eric Foss. His on-track events took a turn in 2007 when he landed in Ensinada, Mexico to participate in the "Wide-Open Baja" sponsored by BF Goodrich. Joe recalls the experience as "amazing and truly a once-in-a-lifetime event". In addition to being on the track himself, Joe has also been on the sidelines providing tire track support since 2005 at major events including SCCA regional and national events at Pocono, Beaver Run, New Jersey Motorsports Park and "The Longest Day 24 Hour Enduro" at Nelson Ledges.
